PD Dr. Claudia Staab-Weijnitz invited to the editorial board of Respiratory Research

PD Dr. Claudia Staab-Weijnitz from the Institute of Lung Biology and Disease (ILBD) and Comprehensive Pneumology Center (CPC) has been invited to join the editorial board of the journal Respiratory Research.

Respiratory Research is the leading fully open access journal in the field of respiratory medicine. The journal promotes scientific exchange by facilitating worldwide visibility of high-quality papers, reviews and commentaries on clinical and fundamental research on all aspects of respiratory medicine and related diseases. It is therefore an important resource for pulmonologists, allergists, immunologists, and other physicians, researchers, medical staff, and medical students.

Since 2017, Claudia Staab-Weijnitz is head of the Core Unit "Matrix Genotyping" at the ILBD / CPC and Scientific Director of the MD/Ph.D. program CPC Research School “Lung Biology and Disease”. In her research, she studies genetic predisposition to chronic lung disease and explores the collagen biosynthesis and maturation pathway as a novel therapeutic avenue for the treatment of lung fibrosis.
