Flavia Greiffo, PhD student in the CPC core unit "Immunophenotyping" headed by Dr. Isis Fernandez, has received an European Respiratory Society (ERS) Short-Term Research Training Fellowship. Starting in July, the grant will support a three months lab exchange with the Lagares Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, investigating tissue repair, regeneration, and fibrosis. Together with the group of David Lagares, Flavia aims to investigate the effect of ADAM10 in fractalkine shedding and recruitment of monocytes in lung fibrosis.
